Graduation Information 2019

Graduation will be held rain or shine on June 8th at 10:00am.  Weather permitting the outdoor ceremony will be in Bulldog Stadium.  If it rains we will hold the ceremony in the Gymnasium. The decision to move indoors will be made on Friday, June 7, prior to 7:00pm.  The BHS website will be our primary source for disseminating information regarding the location of the ceremony.

The following information pertains to a 10:00am outdoor graduation
•    Each senior will be given one parking pass for the upper lot that they can use either for
themselves or for their family.  There will be spots reserved for our handicapped guests located next to the concession stand.
•    The parking and Stadium lot will open to parking passes at 7:30 sharp.
•    Seniors will need to be in the high school by 8:45.
•    Seating for guests will be on a first come first serve basis.
•    No tickets are necessary for an outside event.
•    All guests are asked to be seated by 9:45.
•    The Theater will be open for those choosing to watch the graduation streamed into the
      Theater. (FYI the Theater is air-conditioned, and no ticket will be required)
•    The ceremony will last approximately 2 hours.
•    A professional photographer will take pictures of each graduate receiving their diploma.
•    We ask that all guests remained seated for the entire graduation ceremony.
•    Graduates will receive their diplomas from their Advisors.  The distribution of the
     diplomas will be determined by their advisor’s last name.  

The following information pertains to a rain event at 10:00am.

•    Tickets are required for this event.  Each senior will be given 8 tickets at the rehearsal
     on June 7th, (6 tickets for the Gymnasium and 2 for the Theater).
•    Everyone is asked to be in your seats by 9:45.
•    We ask that all guests remained seated for the entire graduation ceremony.
•    Graduates will receive their diplomas from their Advisors.  The distribution of the
     diplomas will be determined by their advisor’s last name.

  •    Upper Parking Lot Opens at 7:30am to parking passes and closes at 9:00 am
  • Only people with approved parking passes are allowed to park in the upper lot.
  •  Seniors (1 each), VIP, Handicap Parking (must have handicap tag) & Faculty
  •  Lower Campus (Jr. Lot) is open on a first come, first serve basis

Rules and Guidelines:
• There are two 77 minute assessment blocks each day
• Students must remain in the classroom for the full assessment time
• Students need to be on time for the assessment; late students are not admitted
• Parents must notify the main office of a student’s absence for it to be excused
• Skipping/cutting an assessment results in a zero
• Scheduling a make-up time must be authorized by an Assistant Principal.
• Students are only required to be at school during the time of their assessments (students do
not have to be at school during times scheduled for managed time, study hall, or after 12:25)
• Once students leave campus, they cannot return unless they are coming back for after school
  activities at 2:35 pm.
• Students cannot leave campus during the forty-five minute break between assessments.
• The Commons is designated for leisure study, the Library for silent study
• After 12:15, students can only be in the Library or with a teacher
• The end of day buses will leave after lunch at 12:15

Bedford High School Campus Parking 2019-2020

Parking applications will be accepted for rising Seniors (2020) from Wednesday, May 22nd through Monday, June 10th.  Applications can be found in the Main Office and online. Rising Juniors (2021) may submit their application during the parking lottery process in the summer. June 11th - August 5th at 2pm.

·             return the completed parking application with the following items to the Main Office
·             $125.00 payment - checks payable to ‘BHS’
·             a copy of your driver’s license
·             a copy of your car registration
·             applicants must have all other obligations (such as books and fees) settled.

BHS Parking Application:

Applications will not be accepted if any of the above items are missing. However, rising Juniors who turn 16 after lottery deadline may still enter the lottery. In this case, your license and registration are due at the time you claim your permit.

Junior BHS Parking Lottery - Summer 2019
Completed applications must be turned in to the Main Office between June 11th and due by Monday, August 5th, 2:00 PM. Late applications will not be accepted.

Rising Seniors who miss the early application deadline and rising Juniors may submit their campus parking application during this time to be entered into a lottery drawing.

All applicants selected for BHS on-campus parking will be mailed their parking permit and parking rules before the start of school. Please make sure your mailing address is updated in your PowerSchool account.

Bedford Town Lot Parking Process
Following the lottery, any applications not selected for BHS parking will be forwarded to the Bedford Town Office. Checks to BHS will be voided and returned to the parent or guardian. Students will receive a letter explaining the Town parking procedures.

Rising Sophomores (class of 2022) who obtain their license can also contact the
Bedford Town Office to apply for a Town parking space.
